2021 Primitivo
Primitivo is a red wine grape variety that is also known as Zinfandel in the United States. It originated in modern Croatia and migrated to Puglia, in southern Italy, and then to the United States where it evolved as Zinfandel. Primitivo makes wines that are big, jammy, and rustic, with high alcohol and a sweet finish.
This wine has a deep garnet color and full bodied with flavors of black and blue fruits with pronounced notes of cherry and aromas of baking spices.

Winemaker's Notes
Growing Season
The 2021 growing season was hot and sunny, giving this wine its beautifully ripe and full flavor profile of red fruits with cherry and blackberry notes. This vintage is ripe with a nice balance of sweetness, and acidity.
Harvest
The fruit was hand harvested in mid-October.

Original Brix: 27
pH: original 3.41, final 3.6
Alcohol by Vol. 16.7%
Aged 15 months in new French oak barrels.

This wine has a deep garnet color and full body with flavors of black and blue fruits with pronounced notes of cherry, and background notes of cigar box and tobacco.
