2022 Primitivo - "Old Vines"

Primitivo is a red wine grape variety that is also known as Zinfandel in the United States. It originated in modern Croatia and migrated to Puglia, in southern Italy, and then to the United States where it evolved as Zinfandel.  Primitivo makes wines that are big, jammy, and rustic, with high alcohol and a sweet finish.

This wine was made from average 80 year-old vines that contribute more concentration, complexity, and particularly more depth on the mid-palate.   The grapes are certified grown with Lodi Rules farming.

It has a medium ruby color and full bodied with flavors of black and blue fruits with pronounced notes of cherry and aromas of baking spices.
