Winemaker's Notes

Growing Season

The 2020 growing season in Washington State was warmer than usual, giving Pinot Noir a riper flavor profile of darker fruit flavors of blueberry and blackberry, and background notes of strawberry, coupled with fine but pronounced tannins.  This makes this vintage beautifully ripe with a nice balance of sweetness, phenolics, and acidity.


Harvest

The fruit was hand harvested in mid-September and loaded into 36 pound lugs to avoid damage, and shipped in refrigerated trucks to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
